Butterfly Butterfly Flutterby Flutterby

As I filled my plate and was ready to sit down for lunch, I noticed a butterfly on my seat. I tried to have a telepathic conversation with the butterfly, "Errrr...excuse me!!! That's my seat you are resting on. Could you please fly away to a different place?". And obviously I didn't get a response. Neither in words nor in action. So as any person would do, I tried to shoo it away with a wave of my hand. I saw it fall down lifelessly like a feather and that's when I realized it was dead. :( I carried the butterfly in my hands and laid it to rest on a plant as I felt it belonged to the green.

We have always been fascinated by the colorful, playful and restless butterflies. Kids have time to run behind one if they happen to find them in their backyard or in their school playground. I have seen my classmates capturing these beautiful creatures and trapping them in a matchbox. Nobody told them that these creatures are best admired when left to themselves.

Ever seen a butterfly closely? The symmetry of their designs in mind boggling. How can nature create such impeccable designs? It must be difficult for an artist to imitate those designs in a painting or even as a print in stylish garments.
Though small, they are very important for the ecological balance. A perfect example for "Wonderful things come in small packages".

Couple of days back I too have come across something similar situation. For the first time, saw a pup run over by a bike RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES! Never seen death so close. Didn't find a vet near by too :( Little carefulness would have saved it. Will never forget this episode.Even if I miss my lunch, I always have a Parle-G for the group which the pup belonged too!

Living a life after you come across such incidents, makes your living more responsible.

Very nicely written Su.
